Engineering-Driven Mould Design
Mould design is one of the most critical stages of production: it determines product quality, production efficiency and cost. Backed by many years of experience and a strong engineering base, Kurmak Mould combines expertise with an innovative approach in every mould design project.
The design process starts with a detailed analysis of the customer's expectations and needs. The intended use of the product, production volume, material properties and production method are all taken into account to develop the most suitable mould solution.
Our innovative engineering approach delivers solutions that shorten production times, minimise scrap rates and simplify maintenance. We closely follow emerging technologies and apply up-to-date engineering methods and optimised production techniques throughout the design process.
Drawing on the know-how, discipline and quality focus of our experienced engineering team, we design functional, durable and long-lasting moulds for every project, giving our customers reliable, efficient and sustainable production.
Mould Manufacturing
Once the design is complete, production plans are prepared and the mould is manufactured in our own mould shop. We use Unigraphics NX CAD and NX CAM for design and machining; manufacturing is carried out on a CNC vertical machining centre, CNC lathe, CNC electrical discharge machine and mould-making machines using precision machining and high-speed techniques.
We know that the key to mould making is producing long-lasting moulds at the lowest possible cost. That is why we use certified, high-quality mould steels and work with high precision and tight tolerances.
Sampling and Approval
Before a finished mould is delivered, sample shots are produced in our facility, the sample dimensions are inspected and submitted for customer approval, and only then does series production begin.
